Catch the Moment 2018 ~ Week 36

Here are the photos from Week 36! Some art, some Homer shots, and a selfie. Take a look ~

Mon, Sept 03 ~ Labor Day! Homer and I spent some time drawing together. He wants to make a card game, and asked me to draw him some cards. He said this should be a gold card, so it’s extra powerful! It was fun working on this with him!

Catch the Moment 2018 – Week 28

Hello, hello! I apologize for having a longer hiatus than intended! I’m back and will begin the catch up process for posting the last several weeks of Catch the Moment! The first is July 9-15, which turned out to be a week of mostly Homer pictures. 🙂 It only makes sense, he is my favorite subject, and my favorite little guy! On to the photos…

Mon, July 9 ~ This kid cracks me up!! He tried all the combinations he could think of for wearing his clothes. One foot through each arm hole of his shirt, his shorts on his head is what is pictured here:

Catch the Moment 2018 – Week 27

Here we are, week 27!

Summer has been in full swing lately. We’ve had some ice cream outings, watermelon, most of my coffee I’ve been drinking has been iced… XD We’ve run the air conditioner a bunch, and have driven with windows open a lot, too. Our home windows are almost always open, fans going, and we’ve been reading, watching tv, playing video games, and watching movies all in the middle of the day. I love Summer! Here are our summery photos from the week ~

Mon, July 2 ~ Homer decided out of the blue that he really needed a “whole lot” of Solo cups to stack. “Like, at LEAST a hundred, Mommy!” It was pretty inexpensive for this set of them ($4.50 for 84 cups), and he has already spent about two hours total playing with them, so… Maybe it was an ok idea? I feel a little bad about the plastic purchase, honestly, but then again we have a lot of plastic items at home. I’m not sure why these cups bring more guilt than any of the other plastic items we have purchased. (Maybe it’s just that I’ve been reading more about waste reduction lately, so it’s making me rethink a lot about what we buy and what we use. This probably won’t be a repeat purchase, but also, they should last a long time as our play cups, so that’s good…)

Catch the Moment 366 – Week 36

I forgot TWO days this week! Bah! Like I said, this time of year is weirdly hard for me to maintain this project. Maybe that’s not weird. Who knows! But I’m glad to be staying kind of mostly caught up. 🙂 On to the photos!

246 | Sept 2, Fri – Tina helped me by taking Homer in the morning, so I took the boys for the afternoon! We got Happy Meals at McDonald’s and these two were excited about their Talking Tom toys. I thought Talking Tom was still just a goofy app. I didn’t realize it had blown up in popularity and is now a cartoon and has its own toys at McDonald’s and stuff! Craziness. They’re really annoying, as you’d imagine (the toys, not the boys! ha!), but thank god there is an off switch on their backs. Silent Tom is way more appealing than Talking Tom, if you ask me.
