This week started out with smoke filling the air, from the rampant wildfires to the East and North of us. These fires seem more and more common each year, and honestly, it just weighs on me so much thinking about the potential implications of what this could mean for our future. The air quality index was anywhere from 190 – 220, rated worse than the air in some of the world’s most polluted cities, like Beijing. Photos showing the thickness of the smoke were unreal. I just don’t ever want this to be our new normal. It’s so sad and scary.
Luckily, we got some rain, things calmed down some, and the air quality improved. Best of all, we got some awesome visitors, and had some awesome celebrations! So the week improved greatly during the last half! Here are the photos ~
Luckily, these two cute fellas were there to entertain me and take my mind off the smoke-pocalypse.
